I've said before that I think Joaquin Phoenix has a bit of a bad attitude, and most of you defended him, saying he had a hard life and what-not, so you will probably get on me that his co-star in We Are the Night, Eva Mendes, started this tiff. Keep in mind, though, that I've heard many times that Eva is the nicest, most down-to-earth chick there is.
That said, here's the story. Eva made a crack at a press conference that working with Joaquin was "kind of like working with a puppy dog or a 2-year-old," because of how hyper he was, which, apparently did not sit well with Joaquin, as he gave this quote to the new issue of Playboy: "Had I known I was supposed to be a puppy dog, I would have been much more cute and more consistently attentive. My apologies, Eva, but I had a few other scenes that you weren't in. This puppy dog had a lot of work to do." Now that's a dig! Sorry, kids, but I think Joaquin is a bitter, bitter pill.
