Celebrate Christmas with Nigella

Lis Parsons

Domestic goddess Nigella Lawson is at it again with her latest cookbook, Nigella Christmas. It's chock-full of recipes, tips and gorgeous photos of both the food and Nigella herself—everything you need for a fantastic holiday.

Recipes are mostly easy and aimed at keeping your celebration as stress-free as possible. As long-time fans know, Nigella doesn't strive to be the most perfect hostess with elaborate hors d'oeuvres, a 20-page to-do list and everything timed down to the last second. Instead, she'll happily serve homemade cheese spread on store-bought tortilla chips, add chocolate chips to her hearty chili and offer a platter of loaded potato skins—with plenty of bacon, of course. And all with a cocktail in hand.

You'll find everything from easy homemade food presents, simple drink recipes and party hors d'oeuvres to brunch ideas, festive cakes and amazing main courses and sides for the big dinner. From a traditional fruitake that actually looks delicious to something called a "girdlebuster pie" (with an ice cream filling), you're sure to find something to make the holidays special.
