We are two presidential debates down and have one to go! And, with fewer than three weeks before the presidential election, the candidates are getting more heated than ever.
Barack Obama and Mitt Romney pulled out all the stops during last night's debate and it seems like the current president came out the winner -- though Romney did spawn plenty of memes about binders full of women. It's become clear that both candidates will do what is necessary to try to secure the election when voting occurs on Nov. 6.
But while we could read political analysts' responses to the Hofstra University throwdown all day, it's much more entertaining to hear what some of Hollywood's elite had to say about the debate. Here are some thoughts from celebrities from around the Twittersphere:
Eva Longoria: "Landslide victory for Obama. We saw one President for all Americans on that stage tonight, Barack Obama. #Forward"
Sarah Silverman: "Then give more people the opportunity to BE a two parent family & make gay marriage legal u s--tty person"
Jared Leto: "Please vote obama so Romney doesn't make us all go to sunday school"
Elizabeth Banks: "The answer to gun violence is no single moms. Thanks Romney. #Douche #debate"
Michael Moore: "Best line of the night: Obama: "Can you say that again, Candy?" (when Candy told Romney he wasn't telling the truth about O and Libya)"
Lady Gaga: "Did anybody else hear Romney's mic feedback after Obama said "you wouldn't have taken such a sketchy deal, and neither should you" *awkward*"
Brooklyn Decker: "Is this going to be a new thing? "Yo baby, I'd so put you in my binder..."
Kate Walsh: "And the Oscar goes to: Mitt Romney for his portrayal of someone who cares about the middle class."
Diane Sawyer: "We thought the pressure couldn't get any higher. It probably did tonight. Thanks for watching #Debates with us. Good night"
Russell Simmons: "great night for Barack! Tomorrow morning, let's get to work! 21 days to win this election! #TeamObama"
Donald Trump: "Obama keeps namedropping Bill Clinton-- he is no Bill Clinton"
Aisha Tyler: "Yes, Mr. Romney. Why are you against something now that you were for before? Oh, I get it. Because you will say anything to win. #debate"
Bethenny Frankel: "@MittRomney is about to throw down. @barackobama gave him that look. Can you imagine if they could really use the words they want?"
Zooey Deschanel: "Tonight’s episode of #newgirl will be a presidential debate. It’s going to be zany and hilarious and much longer than a normal episode"
Bill Maher: "thought bubble over Romney's head "Say, this Obama fella is starting to make a lot of sense..."
