Not all celebrity couples are created equal when it comes to height. Some famous lovebirds have more than a foot between them! Here are 13 pairs who have proven that love knows no inches.
Sophie Dahl & Jamie Cullum (6' & 5’5")
Nick harvey/WireimageAs a former model, Sophie Dahl can turn heads on her own -- but seeing her tower over husband and U.K. jazz star Jamie Cullum is likely the real reason people stop and stare these days. Despite the 7-inch difference between the two, Dahl couldn't care less: “I think if we were both slightly more neurotic people, it would be crippling, but the fact of the matter is that we're both happy,” she says.
Nicole Kidman & Keith Urban (5'10" & 5'7")
steve granitz/WireImageSans heels, there’s only a 3-inch difference between Nicole Kidman and her country singer hubby, Keith Urban -- but it’s rare, if ever, that the Aussie beauty is seen walking a red carpet in flats! Kidman claims that Urban “didn't notice” her when they first met, which we find hard to believe! At 5’10”, how could anyone possibly miss the statuesque star?
L'Wren Scott & Mick Jagger (6'3" & 5'10")
kevin mazur/WireImageAt 6’3”, it’s safe to say that fashion designer L’Wren Scott has definitely got Mick Jagger, her rock deity partner of 10-plus years, “under her thumb!” Aside from the height difference, the glamorous couple help balance each other out in their chosen professions. Jagger asked his leggy lady (who has dressed the likes of Michelle Obama and Nicole Kidman) to design his wardrobe for the Rolling Stones' recent “50 & Counting” tour. Naturally, Scott rose to the occasion!
Penny Lancaster & Rod Stewart (6'1" & 5'10")
Getty Images EntertainmentRod Stewart certainly found a long pair of “hot legs” when he married 6’1” model Penny Lancaster! The 5’10” sex-charged rocker recently admitted that he’s done a lot of growing -- when it comes to love. As a former womanizer, Stewart, who just released a new album in May, says his No. 1 relationship rule is: “Don't argue after a glass of wine -- leave debating until the morning.”
Eric Johnson & Jessica Simpson (6'3" & 5'2")

Since having her second adorable tot (with one seriously hunky fiance), Jessica Simpson is living large. But with almost a foot between Simpson and beau Eric Johnson, you might say that Johnson, a former football player, is living even larger! And while it's hard to believe that the Fashion Star mentor (who just celebrated her 33rd birthday) has much of anything to worry about these days, a toilet tweet from Simpson revealed that she's definitely got problems -- #shortgirlproblems, that is!
Sacha Baron Cohen & Isla Fisher (6'3" & 5'3")
mark cuthbert/getty images entertainmentAccording to Isla Fisher, whose foot-taller husband is famed prankster Sacha Baron Cohen, she was never given a leg up in achieving stardom of her own. After being let go by her agent at the time, Isla asked then-boyfriend Cohen, "'Can you ask your agent if they'll represent me?" And his agent said, "No way.'" Luckily, the mother of two found her own way to Hollywood. Fisher recently appeared in Now You See Me alongside Woody Harrelson and Morgan Freeman.
Josh Duhamel & Fergie (6'4" & 5'4")
rachel murray/WireImageDespite her small stature, Fergie (real name: Stacy Ferguson) is larger than life when she hits the stage. But when she steps off-stage, the Black Eyed Peas singer and expectant mother stands an entire foot shorter than her 6’4” hubby, actor Josh Duhamel. And Duhamel’s clearly got oceans of love for his pint-sized wife: In March, he sympathetically (and hilariously) donned a dress and a fake bump alongside his lady while hosting the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards!
Dax Shepard & Kristen Bell (6'2" & 5'1")
taylor hill/FilmMagicParenthood star Dax Shepard may have 13 inches on his fiance Kristen Bell, but when the two lovebirds share the screen (like in 2010’s When In Rome), there’s no telling who will come out on top! "We were trying to one-up each other," Bell says of the film. "That's what we do at home, too. It's like, 'Wait -- watch me do this funny bit.' 'No, watch me do this funny bit!'" The adorable duo welcomed their first daughter, Lincoln, in March of this year.
Will Smith & Jada Pinkett Smith (6'2" & 5')
Gilbert Carrasquillo/FilmMagicWith a whopping 14-inch separation between the two, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett are living proof that height ain’t nothin’ but a number! After two children together and 15 years of marriage, it’s clear that the couple isn’t affected by the gap. In fact, Jada recently revealed that there’s not much of anything that could negatively affect their relationship: "What is the thing that Will could do to make me not love him? That would make me abandon him? I can't think of one," she says.
Lamar Odom & Khloe Kardashian (6'10" & 5'10")
gregg deguire/WireImageNext to her two short sisters, Khloe Kardashian has said she feels “massive” at 5’10”. Surely she feels just the opposite though when standing next to her 6’10” b-ballin’ hubby, Lamar Odom. But it wasn’t their height difference that made jaws drop when the couple first met in 2009. Instead, it was the extravagant, quickie wedding that occurred only one month after Khloe and Lam-Lam started dating! Who knew that they would one day become our favorite reality couple and remain totally loved up nearly four years later!
Jim Toth & Reese Witherspoon (6' & 5'1")
alexandra wyman/Getty Images EntertainmentWhen Jim Toth was pulled over in April on suspicion of a DUI, his usually perky wife, actress Reese Witherspoon, puffed up her petite frame like someone twice her size as she drunkenly confronted the arresting officer. But neither the 5’1” Witherspoon or her 6’ Hollywood agent husband could stop the cop from taking them both to the slammer. Maybe she should have tried the bend-and-snap instead?
Freddie Prinze Jr. & Sarah Michelle Gellar (6'1" & 5'2")
dimitrios kambouris/WireImageSarah Michelle Gellar got herself a tall drink of water when she married ‘90s teen heartthrob Freddie Prinze Jr. in 2002. The rarely-photographed couple, who differ in height by 11 inches, first met on the set of the slash-tastic teen thriller, I Know What You Did Last Summer. They joined forces again in Scooby-Doo, but it’s how they co-star together off-screen that really fuels their marriage. “If you love someone and you choose to spend the rest of your life with that person, that’s your partner in every way,” Gellar said.
Chris Pratt & Anna Faris (6'2" & 5'5")
jason laveris/FilmMagicFor a comic couple like Anna Faris and Chris Pratt, there must be a lot to laugh about -- their height difference included! At 5’5”, Faris and her Parks and Recreation star husband, who welcomed their first child in August of last year, are separated by a full 8 inches. But Pratt isn't interested in his wife’s height or her weight, according to Faris. "I have the sweetest husband,” she said. “He makes me feel good at any weight. In fact, I kinda think that he likes it when my butt is a little bit bigger."
