You don't have to be a mutant to get along with your ex -- but apparently, it doesn't hurt.
Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult, whose two-year romance began on the set of X-Men: First Class, are now happily working together on the sequel. And even though they've been broken up since January, the reunion is far from awkward. Not only are they shooting scenes together, but according to Yahoo! OMG, they've been hanging out with each other during breaks. Plus there was that Rolling Stones concert they attended, the boxing match, the romantic dinner -- okay, fine, it sounds like these two are possibly-maybe back together.
Regardless, working with an ex is a tricky proposition. Here are 7 other celebrity couples who continued to collaborate after the big breakup.
Justin Timberlake & Cameron Diaz
Together for three years, these two caused a stir when they costarred in Bad Teacher. "Justin and I have always had a good laugh together...and there really was no one else who was more perfect for this part," said Diaz.
Michael C. Hall & Jennifer Carpenter
Double awkwardness: These two actors met playing brother and sister on Dexter, divorced after less than two years of marriage, and continued making the Showtime series -- just as the plot twisted to turn their relationship semi-romantic. (Technically their characters aren't related, but still.)
Gwen Stefani & Tony Kanal
The No Doubt bandmates were still dealing with their breakup when Stefani's song about the split, "Don't Speak," became a mega-hit. "In every interview we were talking about it so we were opening this wound on an hourly basis. It was so brutal but I don't know how we made it through," Kanal has said -- but he remains friends and bandmates with Stefani nine years later.
Mindy Kaling & BJ Novak
After their characters on The Office started dating, Kaling and Novak tried out a real-life relationship. Within a couple years, the actors called it quits -- but continued to work together on both The Office and The Mindy Project. "We fell in love... and now we are just, like, best friends," Kaling told Vulture.

The White Stripes members successfully passed themselves off as siblings until they released their third album -- at which point the press caught on that they were actually ex-husband and wife.
Nina Dobrev & Ian Somerhalder
The Vampire Diaries costars broke fans' hearts in May, when they ended their three-year offscreen romance. They're still doing the show, but reportedly, things are tense; at the CW upfronts, they were spotted having a tearful conversation.
Courteney Cox & David Arquette
Married for 11 years, the actors prolonged their trial separation for over two years before finalizing their divorce in May 2013. They stayed friendly, though, and still run the production company Coquette. "He's my favorite person in the world. He's my best friend," Cox said in 2011. "No matter what happens in our future, he's my very best friend."
