|6 cups apple cider||6 whole cloves|
|1 2-inch piece fresh ginger, sliced into rounds||6 whole cardamom pods|
|4 cinnamon sticks||6 whole star anise|
|2 teaspoons whole black peppercorns|
Bring all ingredients to a boil, and immediately lower to a simmer. Cook for at least 15 minutes, uncovered. Strain spices from cider and serve hot.
