In Fighting, the character of Zulay turns you down at first. When you were single, how often were you turned down by girls?

I'm really kind of awkward. I've never been able to go out and start up a conversation with a random lady and be like, "Hey. Hi. What are you doing here? Would you like to go on a date?" I don't date. It always turns from friends to long relationships. That's all I really do. I always would put my foot in my mouth. And the more and more I tried not to put my foot in my mouth, I constantly would put my foot in my mouth more and say something stupid. So I was like okay, that'll be my thing. I'll just keep being a nerd until they eventually can't be around me anymore or they love me. Period. That was my strategy. I'm not the funny smooth-talker guy. Terrence Howard is like that. He can start a conversation with anyone.
