So you agreed to do a film knowing you were going to get beat up?

Yeah it was almost a prerequisite. I wanted it though. It's kind of like doing a love story. I think the movie in itself has real love and emotion and relationship in it. And I don't ever want to do a film that's not real. So I don't want the fighting to not be real either. Terrence and I love each other. He's going to be in my wedding [to Step Up costar Jenna Dewan]. I love him. And Zulay [Henao]. If you could have read the script, the love story was not developed at all. And it really blossomed over us hanging out. And that was real. So I just kind of believe that you've got to make everything as real as possible.
