WATCH: Channing Tatum Leads a (Sexy) Flash Mob

The actor and his Magic Mike costar Joe Manganiello show off their stripper moves on Today

He's already showed us his awesome dance moves in Step Up and teased his stripping abilities in the Magic Mike trailers, but Channing Tatum took to the set of Today Wednesday morning to prove that he's also an excellent flash mob leader.

Of course, that whole stunt was nearly overshadowed by Tatum's True Blood costar Joe Manganiello, who made Ann Curry (and Al Roker) blush with his sexy body-roll dance moves. But when a swarm of people wearing Magic Mike tank tops rushed the Today outdoor set, it was 32-year-old Tatum's turn to shine. Watch below!

That's just a taste of what fans will see when Magic Mike hits theaters this Friday, though. The Steven Soderbergh-directed film tells a slightly fictionalized version of Tatum's own experiences as a male stripper in Florida before he headed out to Hollywood and became an actor. So all those moves you're seeing him perform are ones he learned on a stage next to a stripper pole.

It could also be that this is just some secret promotion for Step Up: Revolution, the latest installment of the Step Up franchise. That film is going to center around dancing flash mobs, which is a new style of moves for the series. Or, you know, maybe he just thought it would be funny to swarm the Today set with a lot of people wearing Magic Mike tank tops.

It must have been a bittersweet moment for Curry, who'll reportedly soon be leaving Today and, thus, missing insanely awesome stunts like this. Roker, meanwhile, probably spent the whole time reminiscing about that one time Ryan Gosling lifted him a la Dirty Dancing while promoting Crazy, Stupid, Love. If that had happened to us, we know we'd reminisce about it all the time.
