Channing Tatum has had a good year -- not only did his semi-autobiographical drama Magic Mike score $114 million at the box office, but now he's reportedly going to be named People's "Sexiest Man Alive."
According to Gossip Cop, the Magic Mike star and producer, 32, will be announced as the magazine's annual Sexiest Man cover guy on Nov. 14.
Although the magazine's reps are keeping quiet on the subject, Gossip Cop has a source who claims Tatum is definitely the top pick this year.
"We never comment on who the Sexiest Man Alive is until the issue is revealed," a magazine spokesperson told the site.
Tatum has been in the issue before, but he has never been the Sexiest Man -- and considering what a momentous year he's had with Magic Mike, it wouldn't exactly be a surprise. And we can imagine his supportive wife, Jenna Dewan, would be over the moon!
Last year, the magazine's choice of Bradley Cooper as the 2011 Sexiest Man Alive caused quite the controversy among Ryan Gosling fans, some of whom even rallied outside of the magazine's Time Inc. headquarters in New York to "protest" Cooper's selection over the Crazy, Stupid Love star.
Some were hoping Gosling would finally get his chance this year -- but Cooper, the reigning Sexiest Man, thinks it's time Richard Gere to get another shot! (For the record, Gere already holds the title as 1999's Sexiest Man).
"He's sexy," he told People of Gere, who happened to be at the same awards ceremony in October. "You could take it from there."
As for how Cooper will manage to deal with losing the title, he joked: "I'm in therapy three times a week, but I think I'll get through it."
