Channing Tatum is adorably nervous about becoming a father. The Side Effects star, who is expecting his first child with wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum this summer, told the press that he is afraid of "everything" about having a baby.
"I mean, I don't think there's one thing that doesn't terrify you, but in the most unbelievably beautiful way," Tatum, 32, told E! News. "Someone said it's really like watching your heart jump out of your body and run around, and I think that can possibly be the coolest thing that I've heard."
Even though Channing is worried about his dad skills, we think he's already got a lot going for him. For one thing, he's deeply in touch with his goofy-playful side, which is a major plus when it comes to interacting with babies. He's also a good multi-tasker (remember how he produced and starred in Magic Mike?), so he'll be able to sing lullabies while jogging up and down the steps to soothe a fussy newborn. It goes without saying that he'll look great rocking a Baby Bjorn. Most importantly, he's willing to put in the time to get it right.
“I hope to slow to down a little bit when the little person comes into the world,” the busy actor told People, calling fatherhood "the biggest role of my life." Sounds like he's got his priorities straight.
