It's not quite over yet for Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller. Though headlines last week reported that the troubled couple had called it quits, reps for Sheen and Mueller now say they are actually still trying to make their marriage work.
"Please let us clarify this: They are not seeking a divorce nor has one been contemplated," according to a joint statement released Monday by Mueller’s attorney, Yale Galanter, along with Sheen’s longtime friend (and Two and a Half Men executive producer) Mark Burg.
Furthermore, "there has been no financial agreements between the parties of any sort. Stories to the contrary are false," says the statement.
"This is a difficult time and they need space to see if they can work things out or not,” Yale told People.
Sheen and Mueller are not currently living together, but are still co-parenting twin sons, Max and Bob, 13 months old, and are reportedly working through their issues that first came to light last Christmas, when Sheen was arrested on domestic violence charges after an altercation with Mueller. Both spouses subsequently sought rehab treatment.
