Charlie Sheen's Stolen Car Drama

Charlie Sheen certainly won't be looking back on the first few months of 2010 with much fondness. His bad-news streak has been one for the record books.

Now, here's the latest: In the early morning hours Friday, the Two-and-a-Half Men star called police to report that his Mercedes SUV had been stolen. And at about the same time, police received another call about a crashed vehicle found upside-down in a steep ravine near Sheen’s Sherman Oaks home. Mercifully, nobody was found inside.

"Charlie was not in the car," Sheen's rep Stan Rosenfield told People magazine. "Charlie's fine." Rosenfeld also said it is suspected that the car was stolen and added that police continue to investigate the case.

Despite Sheen's annus horribilis, he showed a sense of humor, joking to The Insider: "It was nice to have police come to my house and for once I didn't have to leave with them."

Back on Christmas Day, Sheen's wife, Brooke Mueller called 911, alleging that Sheen had held a knife against her neck. Since then, Sheen has spent a day in a Colorado jail, seen his abusive behavior discussed on The Oprah Winfrey Show by ex-wife Denise Richards and had his restraining order against Mueller, 32, lifted temporarily during her hospitalization for pneumonia.

This Monday, Sheen is due in court for a hearing about the status of the restraining order against Mueller.
