Beleaguered TV star Charlie Sheen is expected to go back to work this week on the set of his hit CBS comedy Two and a Half Men, but first, he'll be facing some serious music in an Aspen, Colo., courtroom. Sheen, 44, is expected to plead guilty today to the charge of misdemeanor assault stemming from his notorious Christmas Day brawl with estranged wife Brooke Mueller (she accused Sheen of holding a knife to her neck), according to a RadarOnline.com report.
Amid a series of plea-deal negotiations that TMZ calls "down to the wire," Sheen's attorney, Yale Galanter, tells Radar that the actor will will plead guilty in Colorado to second-degree assault, instead of the much more serious charges of felony menacing and criminal mischief. But will Sheen end up behind bars?
The troubled star could apparently serve as little as 15 days in jail, but the sentence won't be known until Sheen shows up in court at 4 p.m. Mountain Standard Time. Mueller's family resides in Aspen, and the couple's young twins, Max and Bob, have reportedly stayed with her relatives for a time, as the marriage went off the rails. As for Two and a Half Men, TMZ's law enforcement source says jail time for Sheen would not interfere with any taping on the show.
