Is Charlie Sheen Lindsay Lohan's Biggest Cheerleader? We Think It's Sweet!

The actor defended his Scary Movie 5 costar as "smart and super-talented" and has faith she'll "come out on top eventually"

Charlie Sheen has two words to describe Lindsay Lohan: "She's terrific."

The Anger Management star, 47, recently visited Jay Leno on The Tonight Show, and the two of them talked about Sheen's relationship with Lohan. The two actors became close when they starred in Scary Movie 5 together, and Sheen explains that he gave Lohan that $100,000 to cover her tax debt because it was money she had been slighted by the movie's producers.

"They offered me a decent amount of cash to do Scary 5 as a cameo, and then they said, 'We want to hire Lindsay,' and I thought, 'Fabulous,'" he tells Leno. They took half my money to give it to her, but she didn't get it all. When I found this out, I said, 'You got shorted a hundred grand,' and I gave it to her."

While that doesn't sound quite as giving as the original story, we still love that Sheen is rooting for Lohan. It seems like everyone is against her nowadays, and we genuinely feel like she is trying to do better. Sure, Liz & Dick was bad and The Canyons is supposed to be a mess, but someone needs to help her get back on her feet and succeed. We shouldn't even be surprised that it's Sheen because he had to go through the same thing not that long ago.

"I mean she's going through a lot of stuff," he tells Leno. "But she's smart and super-talented and will come out on top eventually, you know."

We hope so, too. Though we can't help but get a kick out of Sheen's final comment about not knowing the money he was giving Lohan was for taxes: "If I'd have known that, I'd have given her half." Ah, Hollywood.
