We were relieved when Charlie Sheen checked himself into rehab (wife Brooke Mueller is already in an inpatient rehab program) -- even if he claims it’s only a “preventative measure.” But with both Mom and Dad in treatment, we’ve been a little worried about their 11-month-old twin boys. Who's giving them the daily care they need in the absence of both parents?
Unexpectedly, former Dancing With the Stars contestant Lisa Rinna has the answer. Sheen and Mueller's sons, little Bob and Max, are now in the care of Rinna’s former nanny. On Tuesday, Rinna tweeted: “Good news is the sheen babies r being well taken care of by our beloved nanny that was with us for 6 yrs she is a god send.” Rinna doesn’t specify how long the nanny has been with the Sheens, but since her own daughters with husband Harry Hamlin are school-age (Amelia is 8, and Delilah is 11), we wonder if Rinna recommended the childcare provider when Sheen's twins were born last March. (It seems that Rinna has remained friendly with the whole family; a few Tweets later, she recommended a blouse from her boutique to Charlie’s ex-wife, Denise Richards.)
Mueller, who is dealing with substance abuse addiction, was recently moved to an undisclosed rehab facility in L.A. It's unknown whether Sheen is getting treatment in the same location -- but we know from watching VH1’s Celebrity Rehab that couples are usually treated separately (Dr. Drew is never wrong, right?). Both Mueller and Sheen have histories of alcohol abuse, and after that volatile incident in Colorado on Christmas Day, experts wonder if the intense pressure of having two new babies to care for caused both spouses to relapse. We’re just glad the twin baby boys are in good hands while their parents get the help they need.
