Charlie Sheen to Serve Jail Time, Source Says

After his domestic-violence arrest, the sitcom star is reportedly taking a plea deal that includes several weeks behind bars

Will Charlie Sheen be spending a portion of his summer behind bars? In a new report, People cites a source claiming that Sheen "will plead guilty to a misdemeanor offense and get 30 days jail time."

The source explained, "Charlie intends to go to court on June 7 (to) plead to a misdemeanor and immediately begin serving his 30 days in jail," adding, "With good behavior, he could end up doing 15 or so days."

Sheen, 44, has been charged with felony menacing, misdemeanor third-degree assault and misdemeanor criminal mischief stemming from a 2009 altercation in Colorado (which landed him in jail on Christmas Day) involving estranged wife  Brooke Mueller, the 32-year-old mother of Sheen's young twin boys.

Sheen checked himself into rehab this year, and reportedly sought counseling with Mueller for the sake of their 14-month-old sons, but he had another setback when he was spotted leaving the home of an alleged mistress in a disguise. The Two and a Half Men star -- who recently agreed to stay on the CBS sitcom for another two years -- would reportedly be out of jail just in time to resume taping the series in August.
