Charlize Theron has a new baby boy, an Academy Award and a career that's on fire right now. But when she took the podium at the CinemaCon 2012 Awards Show in Las Vegas Thursday, Theron pointed out the one thing -- or rather, two things -- that she doesn't have.
"Can I just say if I knew that 3-D was going to be such a big deal, I would have gotten that boob job 10 years ago," the South African actress joked while accepting the Distinguished Decade of Achievement in Film Award.
Theron, 36, went on to thank "every director, producer, actor and studio" that has ever employed her as an actress -- pointing out that her widely varied resume of characters makes her look "completely bipolar," but also shows "what a lucky bitch I am."
"I always get asked about the moviegoing experience and why people still want to go to the theater," she added, "and it really truly is an opportunity for us to go through a great human experience that is as old as time."
In fact, the Snow White and the Huntsman star had a particularly life-changing experience thanks to one special movie: the 1984 romantic comedy Splash, about a mermaid who falls in love with a Manhattan businessman.
"I learned everything about love watching Splash," Theron revealed, tongue firmly in cheek. "That’s why I'm still single, so thanks Tom Hanks and Daryl Hannah for that."
"None of this is a single road so you don't travel it alone, so I want to thank everybody who has been crazy enough to stand by me," she concluded. "And I'm going to get that boob job for you."
Her loyalty to her friends and coworkers is touching -- but just by showing up to the ceremony in a daring little black dress, Theron proved that she doesn't need surgical enhancements to be stunning! (And we're sure that her little boy Jackson loves her just the way she is.)
