With a few sheets and a couple of buckets of paint, designer Donna Babylon gave her boring bedroom a complete revamp for only $300. These bedroom decorating ideas can turn any boring room into something special.

When I first moved into my house, I had great plans for decorating. My bedroom really needed the most help, but I was nervous about what it would cost me to do what I wanted to do. I didn't have a particular color scheme in mind, I wanted to apply a decorative paint finish to the walls, add some new window treatments, give the furniture a facelift, and create matching bed furnishings. Finally, I decided to set a budget and give it a try. I had only $300 to create my dream bedroom, but I thought I could do it because I planned to sew the items myself. Here's what I did to give this room a complete renovation.
