You'd love to spruce up your home this season -- OK, maybe every season -- but you definitely don't have the time or money to make a big production of it. Check out this guide to the best places to shop online for cheap home decor and accents. You're welcome.
The discount retailer JCPenney hardly feels like one when you feast your eyes on the amazing adds to its homewares portfolio, including pieces from Jonathan Adler, Design by Conran, Michael Graves, Martha Stewart, Pantone, Bodum and more. You’ll score the best deals on home accents and accessories. We’re obsessed with Jonathan Adler’s Happy Chic line which features super cute lamps (like this darling owl table lamp), throw pillows and more. You can also get a deal on serving pieces from Michael Graves and on-trend bold colors from Pantone’s line of bath goodies.
Overstock.com is an amazing resource for deep discounts on all things home, from accessories to furniture -- and shipping is free on everything over $50. If you're like us, you'll love (and keep coming back for) great deals on super high-quality bedding and towels, plus rugs.
ONE KINGS LANE
We're obsessed with the flash shopping site One Kings Lane that offers daily sales from the likes of Ralph Lauren and Martha Stewart, vintage and market finds you won't find in anyone else's home and sales curated by tastemakers with amazing style sense.
COST PLUS WORLD MARKET
Not only does Cost Plus World Market have great prices, but it also offers unique, conversation-starting pieces with a global flair. Score everything from affordable and funky furniture to entertaining and seasonal pieces. We love the dinnerware and serving sets.
JOSS & MAIN
The flash sale site Joss & Main has such a breezy, bright look that's really fun to shop. Limited-time boutiques have names like "Fantastical Floral" and "Tropical Punch" that, frankly, we find kind of intoxicating. Sales change all the time, but we find this site's generally a reliable resource for affordable pillows and lighting.
CRANE & CANOPY
For bedding, we love Crane & Canopy, the online retailer that manages to offer the same luxe stuff you'd pay tons more for elsewhere, but at a low price that reflects its straight-from-the-manufacturer processes. Find high-end, drool-worthy duvets start at $99 that could be well over $300 elsewhere. (Hello, luxe Sutter duvet, we love you.)
No, Z Gallerie isn't bargain basement across the board, but you'll find many creative wall hangings around $50 and a ton of conversation-starting art under $100. Especially if your taste tends toward the more-is-more category, you'll find tons of great, splashy home accessories, including frames in the $20 range to bling out a space decorated on a budget.
We like the ever-stylish West Elm especially for decorative accessories and great basics, like a versatile glass table lamp for $69 and a great selection of fun, creative serve ware and table linens in the $20 range.
Hit Wayfair for more than 5,000 brands of products like furniture -- like this amazing slipper chair -- plus lighting, cookware and tons more, with free shipping on most things to make scoring a bulky item even easier.
Shop one-of-a-kind and vintage items at any price point that works for you. Many sellers are happy to make custom items with your monogram or other specs, like this charming monogram melamine serving platter for $34, for a result that's uniquely your own.
eBay is particularly great for out-of-stock items you may need to complete a collection or replace a broken piece of china -- and it's often also the source of amazing deals. We love it for scoring a great collection of vintage mix-and-match china.
If you're like us (or just about anyone else on earth), you're not exactly in the position to furnish your walls with real Renoirs. But you can score tons of art at amazing prices at Art.com. Choose from a diverse collection of frames at various price points billed at 40 percent below typical retail prices. Try searching for prints by artists like Keith Haring and Mark Rothko.
Target is a genius place to shop for affordable home decor and accessories online, including fabu collaborations with the likes of Nate Burkus (love this fashion-forward decorative pillow) and Threshold (such a cute serving set!).
Feeling whimsical? Shop Urban Outfitters for fun, on-trend pieces including lighting, pillows, wall art, rugs and miscellaneous conversation-starting tchotchkes. There are even cheap and chic convertible sofas under $400.
OK, you know about this one. We're including it anyway since we're all about buying cheap pieces from Ikea, like the uber-cheap Rast chest, and making them look high end with some simple and creative hacks.
Crate & Barrel's cousin CB2 offers so many fabulous modern home decor pieces, it's kind of hard to choose. For starters, we love the variety of vases under $10.
Let's say you're admiring a current trend in home decor -- like the family portrait gallery walls we love. Hop over to the familiar standby Pottery Barn for a chance to put that look together in one fell swoop for about $90, last we checked.
PIER 1 IMPORTS
Shop Pier 1 for great imports, including furniture, dining and lots of seasonal goodies. It's got an especially great selection of window coverings.
Burke Decor isn't a bargain site, but the selection is so huge, with so much cool stuff, that you can definitely search for deals on great accents. We spotted a selection of drool-worthy trays for under $30.
Among the more expensive pieces at All Modern, you'll find terrific budget-friendlier accents like super high-design pillows, candle holders and vases.
