In a definitive study on infidelity, iVillage.com and MSNBC.com recently surveyed more than 70,000 people to dig deep into their thoughts on cheating and cheating behaviors. Now that Cal State L.A. sociologist Janet Lever, PhD, and UCLA psychologist Dave Frederick have analyzed the results, it's my turn! I'm here to tell you how these results apply directly to your relationship, how to use this info to keep your man from straying — and how to banish thoughts of doing it yourself!

For starters, we learned that 26 percent of men say they've cheated on their current partner, while only 12 percent of women say their current partner has cheated on them. That's a huge number of women who are being cheated on and don't even know it! So it's time for all of us to wise up on the subject of infidelity. Starting right now.
