What if you finally found that perfect dress that even the Fashion Police love and then the airline loses your luggage?
I got a phone call from a customer asking if I had another Olivia Harper Green Leaf “exclusive print” dress in her size. I had one left and she screamed and begged me to hold it for her. I asked her where she was calling from and if everything was all right. She was in the airport – just landed – and was told her luggage was lost – and I was the first person she called! She was on her way back from Italy and had received tons of compliments on her new dress…. and now it was gone!
But that’s not all. She told me that she smuggled in a Kilo…. of Parmesan cheese! Her luggage is probably sitting in the sun on the tarmac in Arizona. Her favorite dress is now fermenting like my poor meatball on top of spaghetti all covered in cheese!
Now that’s a quite a souvenir! Guess it could have been worse with olive oil? What ever happened to a good piece of Capodimonte? The only thing that is worse than looking cheezy, is smelling cheezy…but wait there is a cheezy but happy ending.
She was lucky. She called me the next day and said that she got her stuff back and it didn’t smell, the cheese was shrink-wrapped perfectly and no harm done.
Nothing is worse than having you favorite garment stained or destroyed. It is hard enough to find fashion forward clothing in plus sizes let alone trying to replace it. The fashion police are always out there chasing us down and messing with our heads telling us what we should be wearing or not wearing. So when you have “the dress” to beat them - take care of it.
Did you ever lose or ruin your favorite dress?
