Chelsea Handler is one busy lady! In addition to hosting her nightly talk show, writing two bestselling books, and appearing in two upcoming feature films the funny lady has just inked a deal to add another new project to her resume.
According to Variety, Handler will be starring in a half-hour semi-scripted comedy that will follow backstage antics at E!'s Chelsea Lately. The new show will be modeled after HBO's The Larry Sanders Show. Production of After Lately will begin in a few weeks, when the first eight episodes will be filmed.
"The show is a behind-the-scenes look at what happens at our office when the cameras are off," Handler, 35, said. "It's the perfect platform for people who have no business being on camera."
Handler will be joined on the show by familiar faces and Chelsea Lately regulars Heather McDonald, Sarah Colonna, Guy Branum, Chris Franjola and Brad Wollack. But it's yet to be determined whether her new pal 50 Cent will make an appearance.
