You’ll need some decent photos to land an agent, and a “comp card” -- short for composition card, which is basically a marketing tool that features the latest, greatest photos of your child with all of his or her vital stats and contact info -- for the would-be agent to use to introduce your child to the world. Because children grow and change so rapidly, you’ll have to update the comp card annually. “I tell parents to wait until they are actually making money before investing huge amounts into photos or cards,” Goss says. “Everyone knows someone with a decent digital camera.” Kinkos, here you come.
