|1 loaf challah bread||3 cups heavy cream|
|3 large eggs||6 tablespoons semisweet chocolate chunks|
|1/2 cup granulated sugar|
Preheat the oven to 350 and butter a 9- by 13-inch casserole dish.
Cut the loaf of bread into rough 1-inch chunks. Set aside.
Whisk the eggs, sugar, and cream together in a large mixing bowl until the sugar has fully dissolved and the liquid is no longer granular.
Line the casserole dish with half the bread cubes, then sprinkle evenly with 3 tablespoons chocolate chunks. Repeat with the remaining bread cubes and chocolate chunks.
Pour the sweetened eggs and cream over the bread and let the pudding rest for 10 minutes to allow the bread to absorb the liquid.
Bake for 30-35 minutes, until the pudding is bubbling around the edges and just starting to brown on top. Serve warm.
