Christmas Came Early This Year with Chocolate-Covered Lay's Potato Chips

Can we start eating these yet?

Remember last year when Lay's rolled out a bunch of new regional chip flavors and people were supposed to vote for their favorite? The Cheesy Garlic Bread flavor "won," but you can also still get the other runner-ups: Chicken and Waffle and Sriracha. Those are the two you really need to try, if you ask us.

Now the beautifully deranged food scientists at Lay's have given us another way to enjoy their salty treats -- covered in chocolate. That's right, as of this week, you can buy Lay's Wavy Original Chips Dipped in Chocolate. If you've never had a chocolate-dipped chip (we have, shoutout to Dylan's Candy Bar!), you are probably wondering if this flavor and texture combination is too much. It's not. And we've never been more excited to see a food trend go mainstream.

Of course, there's a catch. You can only get them at Target (worth the trip), and they're supposedly for the holiday season only.

Chocolate not your thing? The makers of chips-in-a-can Pringles are bringing back the popular Cinnamon & Sugar flavor that debuted last holiday season, and introducing a new Pecan Pie flavor, which are surprisingly yummy. Plus, our friends in the U.K. will get to enjoy Mint Chocolate Chip-flavored Pringles. Gross? Maybe, but we'll gladly try them in the name of science.
