Chris Brown can add another name to the list of celebrities he's had a violent confrontation with. This time he and Frank Ocean went head-to-head -- or rather fist-to-fist -- on Sunday night though there are varying reports as to who's to blame.
TMZ broke the story after cops had already arrived on the scene. Based on the early reports of the brawl from those who were at the scene (likely from Brown's camp), Ocean started the fight as Brown was trying to leave Westlake Studio in Los Angeles. Brown allegedly tried to shake Ocean's hand, at which point someone from Ocean's posse went to attack Brown and one of his friends jumped in the way.
All told, there were supposed to be six people involved in the fight. However, at this point police are calling Ocean "the victim" because Brown had left the scene by the time law enforcement arrived. Ocean claims that Brown started the fight, and even tweeted that the incident has negatively affected his planned Grammys performance on Feb. 10.
"got jumped by chris and a couple guys. lol. i only wish everest was there," Ocean tweeted, referring to his dog Everest. "cut my finger now I can't play w two hands at the grammys."
This could have been started by some alleged beef between Ocean and Brown in summer 2012. As Ocean had recently come out as bisexual, Brown is said to have made a homophobic slur against the singer. Brown later denied the accusation.
"My Opinion on the whole Frank Ocean subject is ......... Love who u wanna love. It's ur decision," Brown tweeted at the time. "People stop searching for BS."
Thus far, Brown's only response to this fight has been a picture he posted on Instagram that showed him in the recording studio. "Working on my album. Not working on negativity. Focus on feeding ya family. Bulls--t will forever be in the shadows," he posted as the caption after the fight took place.
