Chris Brown & Rihanna Split -- For Now

Hopefully this is some good news.

Chris Brown and Rihanna have reportedly decided to take a break for a while.

Ri Ri flew to New York for a few days, where she had dinner with Jay-Z, Beyonce, and Brandy on Friday night. While Chris is staying put in Los Angeles, still working on his album.

Though sources told E! Online that the troubled lovebirds aren't officially over, they think this time apart will do them some good.

Understatement of the century.
