A deal's a deal -- but does Chris Brown deserve one?
Rihanna's former boyfriend is due in court Monday morning for his arraignment, and TMZ.com is reporting that Chris' lawyer and the prosecution have been engaged in "serious" plea bargain negotiations. One source tells the website that a "deal is close."
Still, Chris is expected to plead not guilty to the charges he's facing, resulting from his not-so-nice altercation with Rihanna.
As for Ri, sources say she just wants this over and in no way wants to have to testify against Chris -- and that she wants him to cop a plea. TMZ says the pop princess is hanging in Barbados right now because "she wants to be as far away from this case as possible."
I can't even imagine the uproar that will take place if Chris gets off without any jail time.
