Christina Aguilera to Sing National Anthem at Super Bowl

Christina Aguilera is taking her powerful pipes to the Super Bowl! The NFL has announced that the Burlesque star will be singing the national anthem when the Green Bay Packers take on the Pittsburgh Steelers.

"I have been performing the anthem since I was 7 years old, and I must say the Super Bowl is a dream come true," Aguilera, a five-time Grammy award winner, said in a statement. "I am really excited to be part of such an iconic event."

This won't be the singer's first time at the big game, as she's previously performed in 2000's Super Bowl half-time show. This year's mid-game act is The Black Eyed Peas.

Super Bowl XLV will be played in Dallas, Tex., on Feb. 6.
