Christina Aguilera is the latest celeb to have her private risque photos splashed all over the Internet. The five images, which show the pop star modeling see-through T-shirts and barely-there lingerie in her walk-in closet, were apparently hacked illegally from her personal stylist's computer.
"The photos were taken in the privacy of Ms. Aguilera's home and were used only in a personal exchange between the star and her stylist," Aguilera's rep said in a statement on Wednesday. "We are attempting to determine the identity of the hackers and will pursue them aggressively. Their conduct is reprehensible."
The photos appear to be taken around the time of the singer's controversial "Not Myself Tonight" video -- which, as you may recall, showed the singer in plenty of very racy get-ups. In fact, one of the video's costumes looks a whole lot like the nearly-naked pasties-and-rhinestones outfit that she's wearing in two of the leaked pictures. The gold beaded collar from the pictures also makes an appearance in "Not Myself Tonight." Were these photos test shots, or perhaps inspirational material, for the video? Seems likely.
If Christina is ticked off, she has every right to be: These were private work-related photos, and unlike some other celebs we could name, she wasn't carrying them around on her cellphone. But we actually think she should be proud of these pictures, because the simple T-shirt ones show something that we're pretty sure we've never seen: Christina Aguilera without her hair and make-up done. The star rarely leaves the house without loads of lipstick and eyeliner, so seeing her in her natural state -- despite the embarrassing circumstances -- is a nice reminder of how naturally gorgeous she is. And hey, at least it's not a sex tape!
