  • Be sure you have all the gifts you need for Christmas -- and be certain they're wrapped. Do you have all your stocking stuffers ready?
  • Still need a gift but don't want to fight crowds at the mall? Let your fingers do the shopping -- take advantage of catalog or easy online shopping at iVillage Market. Many catalogs will take orders for Christmas delivery up until a day or two before Christmas.
  • Check out the Christmas lights in your area. Take a drive with your family and return home to hot cocoa and Christmas cookies shared beneath your tree.
  • Your kids can have fun while you're busy with last minute preparations. Make copies of the Holiday Word Scramble for them to enjoy while you get a bit of time to finish up.

  • Prepare stuffing. Cover and refrigerate.
  • If serving turkey, check roasting time, which depends on size of the bird.
  • Remove bag of giblets. Place turkey in roasting pan and put back in the fridge.
  • Simmer giblets, adding water as needed until tender. Then refrigerate, covered with liquid, until needed (to use in gravy).
  • Wrap roasting pan with foil, or use disposable roasting pan or cooking bag for a quick cleanup.
  • Use your slow cooker if extra space is needed to keep menu items warm.
  • Children can help set the table(s) and create place cards for each setting.
  • Clean while cooking to avoid big cleanups later.
