We don't know about you, but we're super-excited for Tuesday's episode of Glee, featuring the music of Britney Spears. Clearly, Britney is excited too, as she posted this clip of the upcoming episode to her official Web site. Watch it now!
The clip gives us our first glimpse of John Stamos as the town dentist (and romantic rival to Will Shuester, played by Matthew Morrison). It also features cheerleaders Brittany (Heather Morris) and Santana (Naya Rivera) doing a spot-on imitation of Madonna and Spears' "Me Against the Music" video. But most exciting of all: We get to see Heather Morris in the solo spotlight for the very first time.
Morris, 23, plays Brittany, the dumb-as-rocks cheerleader who rarely has more than one or two lines in each episode -- yet has emerged as one of the show's funniest characters. As the actress explains in the clip below, she wasn't originally supposed to be an actor on the show; she was actually a back-up dancer for Beyoncé when Glee hired her to teach the cast the "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" dance. Morris became a Cheerio, and quickly became a fan favorite -- but in the rare episodes where she's featured, Britanny is inevitably in the shadow of her bitchy best friend Santana. Until now!
The upcoming "Britney/Brittany" episode will finally showcase Heather Morris' dancing -- and singing! -- talents. By putting the character under anesthesia, the show will let Brittany live out her private pop-star fantasies. We can't wait to get into Brittany's head -- a place where sharks are just gay dolphins, and her cat is secretly reading her diary. Can't wait? Preview the songs here! The episode premieres on September 28.
