Conan O'Brien Makes Amends with New Jersey Mayor

The playful feud between Tonight Show host Conan O’Brien and Newark mayor Cory Booker is coming to an end.

O’Brien has invited Booker on the show in order to settle their "feud" once and for all.

The dispute started when O’Brien joked that Booker wanted to setup a citywide program to improve residents’ health, which would consist of a bus ticket out of Newark.

Booker responded on YouTube by "banning" O’Brien from Newark Liberty International Airport, telling the talk show host to, "try JFK buddy."

O’Brien banned Booker from Bob Hope Airport in Burbank and the two sides were playfully going back-and-forth until Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton stepped in.

She taped a segment for the Tonight Show, playing the role as peacemaker, hoping that both sides could put their differences aside and make up.

Clinton’s involvement seemed to work because Booker is set to appear on the Tonight Show on Friday.

Both sides are benefiting from this playful dispute. Booker is getting exposure not only for his political career but also for the city of Newark, and O’Brien has comedic material for days when it comes to ragging on all things New Jersey.
