Here we go again, Bachelor fans! As the 15th season of the dating competition gears up, ABC has confirmed that their main man will be none other than season 11's Brad Womack -- who ultimately chose nobody on his first go 'round.
According to the network, Womack has undergone "intensive therapy" and has been on a "quite painful journey of self-awareness" since he left both Jenni Croft or DeAnna Pappas heartbroken on the 2007 finale.
In an interview airing Tuesday on Ellen, the 37-year-old admits that he had commitment issues when he appeared on the show the first time.
"More importantly, that (Bachelor) process is difficult," he tells Ellen DeGeneres. "I thought that I was as open as I was supposed to be and clearly I wasn't. I walked away and wound up all alone and left two girls standing there."
So why go through it all again?
"Because I believe it can work," Womack said. "I don't care if people call me an idiot or don't believe those words coming out of my mouth. I truly believe that it can work. So here are 25 to 30 women that I never, ever would meet in regular life, and I'm clearly doing something wrong. I'm still single. So why not? I really do believe that this can work."
But, here's the kicker: Womack says he would be open to not picking anyone again -- but he's trying to think positively.
"Again, I take this very seriously," he said. "I know it's tough to believe it's a television show but...I am a completely different person. I don't want to visit that thought."
