We Love this Woman: Connie Britton Admits "Being a Single Mom Is Challenging"

The Nashville star gets candid in her MORE magazine cover story -- and our girl crush continues!

Connie Britton is one of those actresses whom we just love to love. She always has a wonderful attitude, puts out quality material and pretty much seems like the kind of lady we'd love to talk with about a great book over a glass of wine.

That's why we were so happy to see that Britton, 45, is featured on the cover of MORE magazine's March issue. Haven't reach our level of adoration quite yet? Here are five reasons why we're smitten with the actress.

Friday Night Lights
This was the show that started it all for us. Mrs. Coach, aka Tami Taylor, was the understanding mother we all wished we had, and the strong woman we all hoped we'd grow up to be. It only helps that she and her onscreen husband, Kyle Chandler, had amazing chemistry and proved to be one of the most stable couples on TV. Despite amazing turns on Spin City, American Horror Story and, currently, Nashville, it was FNL that really sealed the deal for us on Britton. Clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose, y'all!

She Can Sing
If we're talking about Nashville, we've got to talk about the set of pipes on this lady. Britton can sing -- even if she wasn't initially sure she could! Her country-music star character, Rayna Jaymes, is a pillar of strength -- and the main reason why Nashville is one of the year's best new shows.

She Always, Always Looks Good
This woman could have a second career as a stylist because she always chooses the prettiest red-carpet looks! Britton also boasts some of the best hair in Hollywood -- if you don't believe us, check out the Tumblr blogs and Twitter hashtags devoted to her luscious locks.

She Didn't Need a Husband to Have a Baby
When Britton's father passed away, she decided that she wanted to have a baby, even if she didn't yet have a husband. In November 2011, Britton adopted a 9-month-old baby boy named Yoby from Ethiopia, and she's never been happier. “The man will come and if I want to have my own kids I can do that, but I [knew] this was something I [wanted] to do," she told The View back in December.

She's Okay with Being a Single Mother
Now that Yoby is 2, Britton isn't afraid to admit the trials of raising a child on her own. "Being a single mom is challenging, but never in a million years would that have stopped me. You get an idea in your head and you’re going to do it," she tells MORE. "People can tell you how hard marriage is or how hard it is to birth a baby, but we do these things. We want the journey of that."
