While many continue to mourn the death of Cory Monteith, a video has surfaced of the actor sending a personal message to one of his fans. In what seems to be his final appearance on video, Cory tells a fan to stay out of trouble and stay in school. It’s a heartfelt reminder of how much the star loved his fans, even during what many call a difficult time in his life. Watch the video here:
The Glee star recorded the video on a plane from Japan to Vancouver, Us Weekly reports. A flight attendant named Sheila recognized him and asked him to record a quick video for her boyfriend's daughter, Mallory. As you can see, a smiling Cory was happy to oblige.
Cory’s generosity not only touched fans, but it touched the many people who were honored to work with him. During a sit-down with Jay Leno on Thursday, his Glee co-star Jane Lynch said, "Cory had one of the biggest hearts, a real bright light. He was one of those guys. He knew he was breathing rarefied air -- the gift that this wonderful show gave us."
Lynch also added that Cory once flew across the country "on his own dime" to be with a dying fan whose last wish was to meet him. That love and devotion will be missed by many.
