If you can just get past the offensive title, Cougar Town reminds us one of the reasons why Friends was such a success for a decade -- Courteney Cox. In her new sitcom she plays Jules, a newly divorced woman awkwardly getting back into the dating scene. The show smartly illuminates the double standard when men and women date younger people. The newly divorced male neighbor across the street (Josh Hopkins) is a stud, yet Jules is seen as robbing the cradle when she dates a younger man. Cox is joined by Busy Phillips as Laurie, her coworker who pushes her back into the dating scene, and Christa Miller as Ellie, her bitter neighbor who doesn't want anything to change. To top it off she constantly embarrasses her 16-year-old son Travis (Dan Byrd) with her lack of boundaries when he horrifyingly discovers that kids are stealing his mom's real-estate posters because she's hot.
