Sara Evans has scored a touchdown!
The country singer tied the night with former University of Alabama quarterback Jay Barker Saturday evening. The couple said their nups at an outdoor ceremony, on a farm in Tennessee. Sara was escorted down the aisle by her eight-year-old son, Avery (how cute is that?), while the couple's other six children (he has four from a previous marriage, Sara has three) stood as the only attendants.
The ceremony was officiated by a Sara's minister, who she turned to after her nasty divorce from Craig Schelske last year (if you remember, Sara quit Dancing With the Stars because of all the drama that was surrounding the split from her ex). The clergyman,who was responsible for introducing Sara to Jay, made both of them promise – before they even met one another – that they would let him officiate at their wedding. They became engaged in March.
