Though we think Courteney Cox got snubbed for an Emmy nomination this year for her sidesplitting work as divorcee/wine enthusiast Jules on the ABC sitcom Cougar Town, it seems the actress is still hurting for the lack of recognition from Emmy voters for her past work on Friends.
The 46-year-old star recently opened up to Emmy magazine (which she graces the cover of) about what it felt like being the only cast member on the wildly successful show to never get a nomination. According to Reuters, the actress, who played neat freak Monica Gellar, admitted, "My ego got really bruised. When everyone did but me, that doesn't feel good at all. "
Cox went on to say, "There were certain years I thought, 'Maybe I have a shot,' like the Monica-Chandler years. But I don't know how it happens and why," adding, "Maybe I wasn't ready."
Friends ran from 1994 to 2004 and was one of the most successful television sitcoms of all time. While the entire cast -- besides Cox -- was nominated for Emmys, only Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow emerged victorious, both in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
While Cox may have been upset by the Emmy nominations, there's certainly no beef with Kudrow -- who made a cameo on Cougar Town -- or Aniston, because, as we all know, those two have remained BFFs since Friends!
