Countless fans around the globe can't get enough of Robert Pattinson. But there's one person who's not impressed with the Twilight hunk -- and who definitely doesn't think he has the chops to play Nirvana's Kurt Cobain in an upcoming biopic. In a new interview, Courtney Love, who was married to Cobain when he committed suicide at age 27 in 1994, slams rumors that she hand-picked R-Pattz for the role.
"Isn't that so stupid, who would cast him?" she told The Canadian Press. "That's just wrong, no offense."
Love's objection Pattinson? He's too much of a teen heartthrob.
"I watched the Twilight stuff very, very recently, and I get it, it resonates with the teenaged girl in me, I understand epic love of that nature; I write about it all the time," Love, 45, says. "But isn't that silly?"
Okay, so, if Pattinson's out, who would Love pick to star in the film about Cobain? Ryan Gosling or Scottish actor James McAvoy.
The rocker admits that she probably won't be able to sit through the film once it's completed, as it will be too painful, but hopes that the film's producer (and her good friend), Trudie Styler, will do it justice. Love says she would like to approve casting and the script before it goes into production, and, she says, if Styler is not involved, she may scrap plans for the movie altogether.
Who do you think should play Kurt Cobain in the biopic? Chime in below!
