As cat lovers, we all feel that our kitties are really little people who happen to inhabit small, furry bodies.
And nothing validates these feelings more than when we see our pets' reveal their nutty ways. It's proof that each cat has his or her own unique, charming, sometimes crazy personality, just like humans.
To find out exactly how much our four-legged friends' behavior sometimes resembles our own, read about the antics of iVillagers' pets:
"My cat likes to lie on top of my boom box. I have seen him take his paws and push all of the buttons on it until the radio would come on. Then, he would climb up on the radio and go to sleep. So, I go over and turn off the radio and there he is again, pushing all the buttons until the radio comes on and climbs back on top of the radio. I am telling you this cat is something else."
"Tibby adores his food a bit too much. He often takes his cat toys and drops them into his still-full food bowl. I thought it was to make his toys smell like his food, but he just leaves them there until I remove them. Who knows what he's up to!"
"My two cats run from one end of the house to the other. They run by with Buddy chasing Rocky and back with Rocky chasing Buddy. They do this for awhile then fall over "dead", lay there for awhile and start all over again. My son and I call them 'The Night Crazys'."
"My black-and-white male (cat) Jake springs five feet off the kitchen floor to swat down a magnet off the fridge. Then, he throws it in the air and runs after it, like he's playing catch with himself. It's a riot. He's a great cat with lots of energy!"
"My cat's favorite fetch toy is a balled up piece of aluminum foil. If I'm eating Hershey Kisses, look out! She comes running. And she'll even sit up and 'beg' for me to throw a balled up wrapper for her to fetch."
"Our cat, Maza, loves ANYTHING that comes out (McDonalds). She goes utterly mad over the french fries. It is basically impossible to eat take-away burgers and fries at home! She perches herself on my fiancee's shoulder, and from there, attempts to take a bite (like Sylvester in the cartoons) at the burger he might be holding in his hand. The only thing way that we can 'cure' this is to buy her own Happy Meal! She eats the burger and fries, even loves the toys, but we have to drink 'her drink'."
"My kitty, Angel, goes bonkers at bedtime! She launches herself from the doorway onto my bed and back out again several times before she's through. It's her crazy behavior that makes her the kitty I love so much!"
"Both of my cats love green olives, but Shaq loves them the most. I can spray my pans with the new olive oil spray. Shaq might be in the other end of the house sleeping but he can smell it and then comes running. I can't smell anything! It's hilarious!"
