Okay, we all knew that Ryan Gosling has soulful eyes and an adorable smile -- but when did he get those killer abs? The incredibly talented actor has never been one to flaunt his body, but he obviously hit the gym before shooting his newest film, the romantic comedy Crazy, Stupid, Love. Fans of Gosling -- who most recently appeared opposite Michelle Williams in Blue Valentine -- will also notice that this role is a big departure for the Oscar-nominated actor. He's usually drawn toward complex, somewhat unsettling performances: a drug-addicted teacher in Half Nelson, a man who romances a doll in Lars and the Real Girl, the tough-yet-tender lover in The Notebook.
His part in Crazy, Stupid, Love -- as a lady killer who teaches a man who's recently split with his wife (Steve Carell) how to pick up women -- is the kind of thing we'd expect to go to Matthew McConaughey or Ryan Reynolds. We're intrigued to see this new side of Ryan Gosling. Hey, after that trailer -- which features costars Julianne Moore and Emma Stone, in addition to Gosling's bare midsection -- who wouldn't want to see more of him? Moviegoers will get their chance when the film hits theaters July 29.
