Create A Place By The Door

Bad habit: Late for work too often because you can’t find your sunglasses or you don’t remember where you left your cell phone?

New habit: Establish a designated area -- a basket, a table, a corner of the counter -- where you put your daily essentials (keys, cell phone, day planner or PDA). And don’t put anything else there, so you aren’t rifling through other clutter. “It doesn’t have to be elaborate,” says Barbara Luther, master certified coach and director of training at the ADD Coach Academy. “You could put your keys and wallet in the shoes you’re going to wear the next day and place them by the front door. Do what works best for you.”
