Why We Love It:Kids love tape -- and helping them make the patterns can also be a sneaky lesson in geometry. The results of your efforts are pretty and preppy, and you’ve created a craft out of basic stuff you've already have.
What You’ll Need: Hard-boiled eggs, duct or electrical tape, small bowls of water and food coloring or other dyes (you could easily do this with dye tablets).
How to Do It: Cut the tape in varying lengths and widths and apply to the eggs, leaving some white space. Dye your egg and wait for it to dry. Remove the tape, and, if desired, reapply to create a pattern and dye with a second color.
