Creative Easter Egg Decorating Ideas

Forget dye-in-box kits -- these amazingly creative egg decorating crafts are way cooler. Best of all: they're super easy for kids of all ages and can be made with stuff you probably already have at home.

Glitter Dot Eggs
Why We Love It: These elegant eggs will have everyone agape, but creating them is as easy eating the ears off a chocolate bunny. Kids will love having free reign to dump glitter (or colored sugar) all over and you’ll end up with beautiful eggs for baskets, centerpieces and egg hunts. And no one will end up with dye on their Easter best!

What You’ll Need: Eggs, hard-boiled or, if you want to save them for future use, blown eggs; clear adhesive dots (find these in the scrapbooking aisle of your local craft store); microfine glitters and/or colored sugars; a pen, pencil or marker; a small, soft-bristled paintbrush; and several sheets of paper.

How to Do It: Use your pen or pencil to make marks on the egg where you want your dots to be placed. Place your adhesive dots on the marks, and remember not to place your egg on any surfaces, because the adhesives will stick it a table, plate, towel, etc. Place a piece of paper under your egg, and sprinkle glitter (or kid-friendly colored sugar) all over it. Brush off the excess with a paintbrush.
