Criminal Minds

I'm currently TV show shopping. You know how when you go to the mall and look in all the stores and there's something you know you want, but won't know it until you see it? That's what I'm doing, but with a new TV show. I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking for, but I'll know it when I watch it. So last night I thought I would show shop on over at Criminal Minds. Not much has been reported about this show, until recently when it has started beating Lost in the ratings. Consistently. Not an easy feat. So I thought to myself, perhaps I should head on down to CBS to find out what all the rukus is about and I was not disappointed. Criminal Minds is the type of procedural show CBS is really good at producing. The premise is about a bunch of FBI profilers, headed by Mandy Patinkin (not really sure why he has a girls name, but he's a very good actor nevertheless) who try to get inside the minds of this countries most twisted criminals, I really should have gotten that from the title of the show, but sometimes I'm a little slow. In last nights episode it turns out one of the agents, Elle, is leaving the task force because she took the law into her own hands, or she was a really bad actress and she got fired off the show, you decide. I think she should have been arrested for her terrible haircut, but I'm just being caddy. So she's off on her own storyline while the rest of the group including the very sexy Shemar Moore go to Texas to catch a serial killer who has been murdering young kids on their way home from school. All the typical twist and turns ensue and you realize the killer is in fact a child himself. Why he couldn't just do shots of tequila while his dad was off at work to deal with his rage, I'll never know, perhaps because it wouldn't have been nearly as interesting. And interesting and well written this show is, I can now see why it's kicking ass in the ratings. And the previews for next week look so amazing. In it four high school girls are being kept in the basement of what looks to be a farm house and the guy who's got them trapped tells them two of the girls get to live and they themselves have to pick which two. I think if I were in that situation, I'd definately pick myself. I'm not a impulse buyer, so I still need to shop around some more before I commit to a new show, but people this show is definitely a contender. I'm also taking suggestions, so if there's a show you're watching you might think I'd like, let me know and I"ll tell you what I really think.
