This project makes kids kings and queens of their garden or local park.
What you'll need:
- Corrugated cardboard
- Good scissors
- A nice outdoor space where you're allowed to pick flowers, leaves and grasses
What you'll do:
Before the walk, make a crown of corrugated cardboard for everyone. The corrugation is key, as it leaves little holes in the top of the crown. As they walk along and talk about the things they see, encourage the kids (as if they needed it!) to pick examples of the flowers and grasses and leaves and stick them in their crown. By the end of the journey they'll have a wild-looking crown and a memento of their trip round the garden.
