Cryosurgery for Nonmelanoma Skin Cancer
The risks of cryosurgery include:
- Scarring, including a white spot (hypopigmentation).
- Pain or stinging during and after the procedure.
- A longer recovery time than other procedures that remove skin cancers.
- Infection.
