The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Why you should see it: Based on a short story by F. Scott Fitzgerald, Benjamin Button (Pitt) is, as the title suggests, a curious case: He was born an old man and ages backwards through infancy, setting him up for a lifetime of heartbreak and difficulties as the timing of his life plays against that of the people around him.
Box office bottom line: Pitt has sparked Oscar talk with this performance, and the movie's poignant subject matter has sparked talk that Button could become a heart-tugging classic. Also getting rave reviews: The special effects and makeup that take Benjamin from old age to infancy. And speaking of infants, word is that Pitt's famous offspring, Shiloh, makes a cameo appearance in the flick.
